And the lamp count is…..

I needed time and space to count all the lamps and holidays were the wrong time to start.  It took me all day yesterday to find, dust, sort and photograph the lamps.   Let’s start counting!

1 floor lamp.

Since I started with a slag glass lamp, I’ll continue with similar glass lamps.

+3 lamps for a total of 4.

+4 for a total of 8.  Next art glass style lamps.

+3 for a total of 11.  Lamps on left and center have a match somewhere in the house.  Lily pad lamp has pink globes but needs new screws to attach to sockets.

+3 for a total of 14.  The glass is broken on the white lamp.  Next, milk glass and floral lamps.

+4 for a total of 18 lamps.

+5 for a total of 23 lamps.  Next, pairs of lamps.

+4 for a total of 27 lamps.

+4 for a total of 31 lamps.

+4 for a total of 35 lamps.  Next, the rest of the clear glass lamps.

+4 for a total of 39 lamps.  Next, the hurricane lamps.

+2 for a total of 41 lamps.  Next, the drunkard lamps.

+2 for a total of 43 lamps.  Next, the desk lamps.

+3 lamps for a total of 46.  Next, the novelty lamps that Kat brings to me.

+5 for a total of 51 lamps.  And last but not least, it’s a clock, it’s a lamp, it’s retro and it’s one of my favorites.

+1 for a total of 52 lamps.

Mike came the closest with a guess of 54 electric lamps.

The next step is decide which lamps I want to keep.  Even though I know that there are so many more lamps in the house, letting go is still my biggest challenge.

Oops!  I hit publish before I checked the count.  It is 52.
